Tim Howard

Even my dad, who has so far tried to defend Howard's many mistakes, is coming around now. The last 3 games have been pretty unforgiveable stuff. Dawson and Ings (the Ings one especially, he's less than 6 yards out right in front of goal, if thats not keeper territory, Im not sure what is) and his complete non attempt at stopping Rooney's goal yesterday were just schoolboy stuff. Okay, in a one on one situation, the striker is always favourite to score rather than miss, but the keeper has to be able to at least make it hard for him, narrow the angle etc. The angle they showed on MOTD from behind Rooney's back yesterday was the most telling of the lot, as you could see just how little of the goal Howard was even blocking.

To blame him for the 3rd goal yesterday is the biggest crock of all time. (goalkeeper looses out in 1 on 1 with one of the best finishers in world football). .

This, embarrassing that it would even come into peoples minds to blame Howard for anything yesterday, especially right after what Jags did. So he saves the third, losing 0 2 would of still been a bad result.

I'm certain if these rumours of an American buyout don't come to fruition Howard's going to get all kinds of hate in this thread.

Well it will be his fault, just like everything else!!

If it comes off they will need him in goal for the next few seasons to help brand awerness across the pond.

Fitting end to the poll @Eric Djemba-Djemba @Woolly Blue :

100% unanimous (pre Stalinism) that Tim is crap.

Stalin is my role model for modship.

Edit :

A few years ago I'd have said Howard was a decent 7/10 keeper. Now he's either 6 or 5 out of 10.

The reason he's still our number 1 keeper is down to how much it would cost to bring in an 8 or 9 out of 10 keeper. I think you all need to resign yourself that he won't be replaced this season and the Summer will hopefully see some movement.
