See nobodies mentioned the great save at his near post before the goal..

I'd like to give him credit for that mate, but tbh I think it just hit him. His legs were so wide, Milner went to go through them but couldn't.

Tremendous servent, and I don't like to criticise but we're blinkered if we don't think we need a better keeper.

Two men between him and the ball when it comes in Joe, easy header for Barkley but he's messed up and left Howard stranded.
Sorry Doug it's one of TH failings glued to his line Robles would have got hiss fist to that, if it's crossed into the six yard box any good Keeper the ball should be his - that header was far too easy for Ings he is scared of a high cross from a corner end off Doug it's his big weakness!
Teams have Sussed him out a corner is like a pen sometimes when he so static like that!

Maybe we should put a man on the goalposts when we defend corners. The positive is he getting on and Martinez will be forced to buy a new gk, hopefully next season

Of course we need better because he's not the best but it's about priorities as you know, it's getting to a point were he needs changing (it's likely to be this summer imo) but he is what he is now for us. He rightly deserves critism at times but fundemently today's goal is Barkleys mistake not Howard's and people are looking past his good save earlier just to point the finger at the usual scapegoat.

Barkley is man marking a midget and gets bullied far to easily, everyone in that defence expects him beat Ings to that ball and clear it. By not doing his job he puts Howard and the team in danger.

Barkleys fault, plain as day.
every pundit seems to be disagreeing with you, every fan too, barkley was at fault also, not instead of howard, surely you can admit that

It was a good save but the ball was going wide anyway - TH has to improve on crosses, and distribution, a better season , but their keeper saved them 2 points!

Thing is though, any header from point blank range inside the 6 yard box is going in.

So why is Howard staying on his line?

If Barkley does his job it's a moot point, he doesn't and it's a goal. Howard had every right to expect Barkley to beat a guy 5-6 inches smaller than him to the ball easily.

Not Howard's fault for the goal. Nobody stops a free header from that range. Even the skeptics.

That's where the criticism is coming from Mike.

Nobody stops a free header from that range.

So why is Howard staying on his line?...

A cross in that area and your keeper absolutely has to be coming for it.
