As for Howard most don't understand how few top class keepers there are around, that is why such a big deal is being made of De Gea, special keepers come around one in a while, we have had one and and he is still talked about today 30 years later. Besides look at the alternatives, some wanted Chec in the summer, look how many points he has lost for Arsenal this season flapping around, Howard is doing well, just like the whole side is.

How many points has Cech lost for Arsenal, sorry? The opening day of the season? Apart from that he's been pretty much outstanding, saved them a point against Liverpool as well with two world class saves

Correct. Del boy lost ball. Barkley got caught. And howard should have without doubt claimed a ball 2 feet from him.

Barkley's got to be doing better but so has Howard, just look where Ings is. Howard's got to be taking everything when the ball is inside the six yard box.

Just remember, whatever you say about him should also be said about Barkley. Howard should have claimed the ball. Barkely should have done more than nothing. Equally at fault.
