Nice bloke, limited footballer. There's a reason no "bigger" club ever came in for him. He was great for us on a budget and, in hindsight, was one of those key to us being "Best of the rest"

…..probably my favourite player of the modern era. Opposition feared him and he often scored in the big games against the best teams. Lots of our forwards are content getting their heads to the ball but Cahill had that prodigious leap and controlled his headers.

He was incredibly combative given his frame and it takes hard work to keep hitting the penalty area like he did. What a player.
