So police now say she wasn't in the lion enclosure as the park owner would so quickly have us believe, but she was in the designated staff area where lions, of course, should not be.

Poor girl mauled to death on her tea break, while the owner was so quick to jump to conclusions that implied the girl was at fault.

I knew there was something very wrong about this story as soon as it broke.

That's awful.

As for the owner, looking to shift the blame onto the deceased, when it appears that they themselves could be culpable. Scum that.

All due respect to the girls family, but it's a tiger ffs, every time you go near one it's a lottery. Even when reared from small it only takes one moment of inattention to the always changing alien body language, some of it barely above, to us, subliminal; tiger equivalent of Oi, You, No! and this could be a quarter seconds worth of raised eyebrow or similar and it's ...well I warned you...Chomp. The are the last untame-able wild animal Each time you go in you have to ask your self...do I feel lucky. Why would you...it's a F'kin Tiger.
I cuddled a tiger once. Really good experience, I was sh*tfaced in a strip club near Toronto and the owner took a polaroid. Lovely animal. Died a few years later, totally domesticated, I was walking to the toilet when it came in the back door, bit surprised to say the least. I went around a pool table to avoid it, ended up giving it a big cuddle, it nuzzled its head into me as I cuddled it. Crazy evening, ended up being groped on stage by a russian stripper and shooting her with a water pistol in all sorts of places. Thats what happens when you go out with ex Navy types... Anyway, RIP to the poor girl. Terrible stuff.

Doesn't seem like there's any indication of personal culpability on the owners behalf. Still real scummy of him to try and deflect it all onto the poor girl without full information.

Sarah was going about her routine duties and was in the staff section of the enclosure building, which animals are not allowed access to...

Lol'd at this part. What is there, a no entry sign or something??
