Ticketing Mess

I got to my turnstile ten minutes before kick off, myself and other blues didn't get in until ten minutes past 3. We where at the correct gate but there where obviously technical difficulties - there where ques all over the place and it wasn't the fans fault

Never had any problems with the previous scanner system. Obviously there must be a reason to change ,but it's definitely more hesitant to use.

Can only blame the fans on this one, why would anyone go to the wrong turnstile anyway? And if its to clamp down on those using kids tickets then well done Everton.
As I walked up to the ground the amount of poeple still around pubs at 2.45 catching up with mates they hadn't seen all summer was only going to end with delays outside. I was lucky as the turnstile I use now in the main stand is rather empty as that end of the ground towards the Park End is small but If i had of missed the start the only person to blame would of been myself for getting there at 2.50.

Simple - arrive earlier! I usually get to the turnstile around 30-45 minutes before kickoff and never have a problem.
Problem with that is for most fans match going is a social thing ie having a pint. Getting a pint in the ground just isn't the same nor is it that quick even at 2.30pm in my experience. Perhaps once we have a wonderful stadium down by the river where you can get a good pint after not too long a wait in good surroundings, I'll get in the ground no later than 1.30pm.

I did my usual. Scoffed a pie and chips because I can't eat at home then waddled to the first turnstile I can get through because I'm too lazy to go the proper one. Fuming I set off at 2.57 and didn't get in for kick off. The lads in my row who have to get up every game for me seemed more fuming then normal.

So there you are - go through the right turnstile and you'll be straight in. If not you'll be held up and so will everyone else behind you.

It's possible the solution might be to allow you to use other turnstiles but perhaps it won't be the case.

I turned up at 3.04 and waltzed in - though I did miss our goal.

Thanks for that. The constant roadworks for the past 2 years on the East Lancs is extremely annoying: it wouldnt surprise me in the least if the council lifted them for the RS games and reimposed them for our games. Paranoid, eh?

Half an hour after our win and there texting me to get a stoke ticket for next week. Obviously a good ploy while people are uplifted they pounce. Only downside I already have a season ticket.
