Ticketing Mess

Around 2:40 yesterday a lot of blues were panicking and were feeling frustrated about the new ticketing system that only allows your ticket to work on certain turnstiles stated on the ticket when in the past you could go into any entrance as long as you were in the right stand. I heard the queue outside the bullens road was ridiculous because of this and people missed the first ten minutes. Why do Everton have to mess around with it? I know after yesterday's game it would work better in future as people know what they need to do but surely there should have been a notice about this, the amount of people I seen in one queue before getting rejected and having to go into another. Did anybody else have any problems yesterday?

Backfired badly on them in the lower gwladys. Just after kickoff they were just letting you flash you're season ticket on the way through. You didn't even have to scan it. Typical Everton, come up with the idea of making sure everyone uses the right scanner, when this fails, forget the right turnstiles in fact forget the scanner. Just go through.

Not to be facetious, but if people had simply used the turnstiles stated then it wouldn't have been an issue.

After so many years of using any turnstile why change it without notice? And does anyone even check their turnstile and make sure they go in the designated one?
I'm not sure of the full scale of problems yesterday but if anyone can shed some light on it who experienced a problem that would be great thanks

Do you mean that new scanner you put your card under? Or did people just show their card and walk in?

Not sure how accurate this is..

I had no problems at all.

I didn't either but this is bad. I know we all should get to the ground in enough time but its just a football tradition that people get to the turnstile with ten minutes to spare and usually it isn't that bad. Not sure what time these queues here started.

Was a bit busier than usual for the time I arrive. Was surprised at no notice of it, but they got away with it, just. Won't be an issue next game.

Again please do not take this the wrong way as it's in no way a personal slight at you, but I see no reason why the club should mollycoddle fans.

From experience, I and many other fans have always adhered to the turnstiles stated and as such have very rarely had a problem with entrance.

For those who don't adhere to the turnstile information provided, then I see no reason why the club should go out their way to inform people.

The majority of people are grown adults and as stated earlier I personally do not see the overriding need to be mollycoddled through their life.

Ultimately they will have tried, failed and hopefully will learn for the future and I doubt it'll be an issue next game: alas it may even be better.

If there were issues with people who were attempting to correctly access the ground then I have genuine sympathy, otherwise it's a learning curve.

Thing is fans used to use the same gate wherever they sit.years ago the first turnstiles coming from the church to gladlys street was the busiest , and if it's lashing first turnstile.
Why change there's only segregated areas in the bullens/main stand if I recall

So let me get this right... I could have, for the last 10 years, used the incorrect turnstyle and got in? Everton that.

I've read it as, they're trying to clamp down on concessions. I rocked up at 2:50 yesterday and was in, in 5 minutes. Just go to the furthest accessible turnstyle and you'll be sound!
