Is that you quoted in the Echo for Evertonians 4 Change saying it's a great idea?I thought it was a good idea initially but I am unsure now. The gradings seem to be tiered in favour of the more expensive fixtures. This should have been an opportunity to give fans who can't afford to get to the game more of a chance.

Nope. My name's Dave...Dave
Is it E4C policy to back up price increases?

You really have to laugh, fans on melt downs for weeks because dont have any money, then get all humpy over price increases. Buissness trying to improve profits through customers shocker. Bad double standards here.
Money comes from the pockets of others doesnt it!
This is not much of a revenue generator imo. Rough calculations based on 10k fans paying the extra for the premium games is circa 280k before tax and costs for the season. Its around the cost of 500 or so ST's again a rough estimate. If season tickets sales end up being down 10 to 20% on last season this still won't cover the gap in our finances too well.
Bolton game sceduled for 2/1/12 btw is the closest we get to a home New Year game on the current fixture schedule & normally close to a sell-out in recent seasons.
I can see why the Bolton game is rated as it is now, fair enough.
This is a point I thought you'd understand: matchday revenue and tv cash is the only armoury they have because they're ****ing useless at generating cash any other way. Let's be clear: Elstone et al have failed to shift as many STs this season and are looking to make the shortfall up by 'an innovotaive pricing structure' that sees an increase in tickets for half the games bar Stoke/Blackburn. It's a sleight of hand. You can be sure of one thing: when the Echo tries to sell it as a bargain it's not - I'm just amazed they hoodwinked some supporters into backing it as a brave new world.
