the old system worked on the main for 6 years Danny, i know it was hassle, but maybe remove the neg rep option, or only allow 1 rep to be deducted as opposed to 10,000 when me and micknick were playing games? I, for one, did abuse it at times, but only to neg the mods in a playful manner, nothing snide

not read the thread but will give my two cents anyway. Really not a fan of having the thumbs up system IN PLACE of the rep system; would be a nice idea if it was as well as a rep system.

I think a reputation giving system is an integral part of any internet forum; would be swell if we could get the old one back!

I like this system way more than old rep. I like that it's impersonal so you're rating the post rather than the person which avoids people feeling singled out, I like that it's quick and easy and there's no comment so it does exactly what rep was meant to which is provide a quick way to say 'I like this' or' I don't like this' without filling up the thread with useless posts just saying 'spot on' or 'bollocks'.

I like that a thumb down is less of a big deal than a neg rep so it's all less serious business and pointless agro.
