I really don't like it. The old rep thing was sound as you could leave a rep for yours and the other lids eyes only with a nice comment which made them feel sound. This looks gay as [Poor language removed] and carries no weight.
Tweak it so you can give or take one point only. Sack off the league table thing of rep as no lid should be able to be better than another and keep it so you have to upgrade to see who's leaving comments as that does drive the upgraded membership which offset the costs of the server and Mick's latte bill.
You tried something different which is fair enough. Just tell lids not to leave snide comments with pos rep. That's it, problem solved and whoever does it will be banned. Neg rep continues to be flagged and monitored by mods so the problem doesn't lie there.

Yes mate but the flip side of that is unfortunately certain people left anonymous abusive comments. OK so you know a moderator will get to see this but you don't know yourself if anything is ever done about it. Couldn't give a fiddle about the red dots or the points like but the abusive comments were off putting for many people especially as they were anonymous.
Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if GOT and its Partisani last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'this was Chico's finest post'.

If there's an abusive comment attached to the neg rep then there could be a report function. Get your point mate. I think we have to distingish betweem abusive and disapproving. As with it being a neg rep it wont be sunshine.
Ive received loads of neg disagreeing and telling me why or that I was out of order. Ive had some weird ones threatening to cover me with web. But the nasty ones arent on. I've had one or two. I don't class calling me an idiot as abusive like.
I would guess theyre a minute fraction of all neg reps given as lids know the mods can see them.
