To sum up:

Arteta - 9/10

The best uncapped player in the world, simple as that, and quite clearly one of the nicest guys to walk the earth, too. He's come back looking just as good as he always did. The thought of him playing for anyone else, at least in England, is thoroughly depressing.

Pienaar - 9/10

I've always rated him but last season he really stepped up to the plate. Surprisingly deep voice, no?

Fellaini - 9/10

Hugely improved from the previous season. Always fearless, last season he became imperious too. Not many people make Craig Bellamy shake their head and laugh at themselves.

Bilyaletdinov - 7/10

Sometimes looked tired and off the pace - understandably so after an eighteen month season - but had moments of real quality and looks promising for the future, given a good rest. The new Sheedy? If he's half as good he'll be a great signing.

Cahill - 7/10

An uneven season to say the least by his own high standards but he's still the heartbeat of the side who respects no-one. He'd fancy himself against Barcelona and I love that. I was overjoyed when he signed a new contract. Already a Goodison legend.

Osman - 8/10

Poor old Leon gets too much stick from the fans in my opinion. Sure there are games when he's looking off the pace but there are also games like Man Utd and Fiorentina when he's the best player on the pitch.

Gosling - 6/10

Still to fully prove himself, in spite of that goal. One for the future, though.

Rodwell - 8/10

A class act, if still a little inconsistent. He will grow and grow, though, and bag a sackful of caps, hopefully as an Everton player.

Donovan - 9/10

The best bit of transfer window business all season. Come back, Landon, we love you.

Arteta leads the way with Pienaar a close second. For consistency and importance to the side they are top of the pile and we look like a proper side when they combine.

Rodwell and Fellaini are talented and have big potential but still have alot to prove, which is expected of players in and around that age group. Gosling doesn't have that potential, sadly, decent player to have in and around the squad though.

Osman is what he is and Bilyaletdinov has alot of adapting to do, there wasn't a period during last season where he actually looked comfortable playing at this level. He certainly has ability but he's got to really push on this season.

Agree with most of them but not Ossie ... Opinions and all that mate.
