Thread disappearances

Usually a thread going beyond what's thought reasonable is locked, with a final post by a moderator stating why it's happened.

Disappeared threads (obviously not referring to spam here) dont explain anything. If the practice is continued, maybe a post to the originator of the thread is in order to clarify why the action was taken?

Usually if a thread has disappeared its because there's something in it the mods don't want us to see, if it just gets out of hand its locked.

I had a thread completely removed recently, I didn't get a message.

I'm not bothered, just saying you don't always get a message.

With hindsight the MickM86 Straw poll was never going to go well.
