Drenthe is just what we needed, a player with blistering pace, and since he left Real he's been slowly re-building his form and status and I think we will be the team he will flourish in...

as for Denis, he needs time to settle it is a huge change for him..don't think we will see the best of him until January...just see what happened to Dzeko...everyone wrote him off, last season and look at him now...although I hope Denis doesn't turn into our ladyboy Torres

Plenty of foreign players struggle in their first year, especially strikers. Give the lads some time. Both are already doing better than I was expecting.

Anyone remember the early Baines and Jags threads? Lots of people wanted to cut both loose, but once they gained some chemistry with teammates and settled into their right positions, both have proven great buys, and one is arguably the best LB in the EPL. Stop making these knee-kerk reactions, get behind the team and our players, cause this is our squad between now and january at least.

Another point for Denis writer offers - anyone else remember that Tevez and Mascherano couldnt get near the WHU team for a good 6-8 months after they signed. Tevez actually came from Brazilian football which most would point out is of a higher standard and more competitive than the Argentinian league.
