This is for anyone who would like to see a designated 'Singing Area' at Goodison Park. The club are not interested at the moment so it's in our own hands. Atmosphere is extremely important and it can spur the team on. But in recent years no one can argue that the atmosphere has dropped dramatically at our unique and fantastic old football stadium. Away fans come and take the mickey and get nothing back. We are a huge club with massive numbers home and away. We need to back this with atmosphere that makes other teams up and down the country fear Goodison Park again. I understand not everyone wants to stand up and chant at the game and have no problem with that. But myself and plenty others do and we feel that if we were given our own area to sing at the match without the fear of being told to 'sit the [Poor language removed] down lad' it would be beneficial to the supports and the team. So please join this group if you would like to see something like this put into place. It would be a good idea if we could discuss certain areas that would be suitable for us to take over. Post idea's on the wall. Let's make this happen blues. AP

I have set up a facebook group below - If you are interested in something like this being set up join and invite other blues.

Hence the original request for a specific area for singers/standing and generally being tittish! So as not to obstruct your view or your enjoyment of your prawn sarnies

The lower bullens is [Poor language removed] mate, i take it you sit in the lower gwladys in your trackies and lacoste traineeees thinking your dead hard, nipping for a sneaky *** in the gents at half time? Not nice being stereotyped is it?

I had to stand for an entire game when I went to the US Open cup final between DC United and Seattle Sounders. I sat (stood) behind La Barra Brava and they sing the whole match. It's even funner when they jump up and down cause the stands bounce at RFK Stadium. I didn't sit once the whole match and I didn't mind.

Seems like I hit a nerve. I apologise if I came across in a sarcastic kind of way, I'm far from your stereotypical GSEnder you so colourfully described in your last post, I just believe that there should be an area set aside for those who want to sing / jump-up and chant for the whole game. People like to vent their passions and frustrations in many ways, and I believ that they shouldn't be scorned or looked down on for that.

the clubs problem with it is - because fans are no longer permitted to stand; hence to abolition of terracing; they cannot sanction it. I doubt its refusal on their part, they just can't break the rules. There's nothing better than the whole crowd singing, clapping, cheering etc.. Esp when the two "quiet stands" join in with the park end and GSE but i don't feel a separate area would aid that unfortunately
