Yep, not only is it not quite so far to fly, but they're also much more likely to have a spare aircraft hanging around at Gatwick than they are at Speke, so don't have to pay to move a plane into position ready to start the trip.

Plus they've got about 5 airports in and around London to choose from . We are stuck with Speke and Manchester.
