Arguably he's their best player. Chelsea was total [Poor language removed] without him last year.
 
Yeah but their reserve keeper is better than most premiership teams first choice keeper!
 

Chelsea have had quite an easy run in the premiership since Jose left. It would be interesting if we took the lead there again to see how the team deals with a genuine test of character. I have a feeling we could come away with a good result on Sunday.

Umm, I'd say Man City with their current form would be as tough as anyone to play at this point in time and to say they smashed them would be an understatement.
 
Sure Man City are having a great season.. I don't know why they lost 6-0. It was a freak result and was not the Manchester City who beat Manchester United for example.


What I mean to say is that Chelsea have not had a proper game on their hands where character comes in to play. I feel if we take the lead like we did last season it will be Chelsea's first proper test in the permiership under Avram Grant.

Well I hope your right Blue, i really do, but since they came into money they've had a habit of beating us, so I dont hold out too much hope for this one.
 

Perhaps it is not ideal to travel to London three days after Germany. So we might not see the Everton performance we all crave.

Incidentally, our strongest eleven must be capable of giving anyone in the league a scare. This is for a different thread i suppose.

No your right, on our day we have a team that is capable of beating anyone in the league, definitely. And I dont think "skys top 4" look at us and see an easy match anymore, we've definitely moved on.

Its just as you pointed out, with the german game so close behind, I'd be surprised if the players have it in them to beat both team. And if I had to pick one, I'd say beat the germans, we need to WIN THE UEFA CUP!(y)
 
I think we have a chance. Our only real injury worries are Baines and AJ, whereas they are without Cole, Terry, Cech, Ballack and Ferreira. Despite having better backup than in the past their defence is still weakened, whilst Drogba is unsettled so not at his best. We can get a result if we play well.
 
like last season there, its possible the referee will rescue them again.

wonder who the FA will select, with the [Poor language removed] out of the picture, do the fa want just a two horse race between man ure and le arsenal.

Drogba has been scoring for fun as of late so I think he's a worry.

Cudicini is a very good keeper but the last few matches I've seen him in, he didn't inspire.

I think this match has endless possibilities for an outcome so I'm not even going to try and guess.
