A lot of that goes to re-negotiating contracts and stuff like that.

I mean, look how long the negotiations took for Fellaini. Plus we've tied down a bunch of other players in the last year or so and are in talks with Barkley, Distin, and other players right now over new deals.

Not to mention all the stuff with Pienaar and Arteta.

its true, talksport did a run down

We spent more on agent fees than arsenal and united

Spending more than United? That doesn't seem right at all.

Aside from Gosling, we didn't really have any other outs in 2010. Who's contracts did we renew and who's were up for re-negotiation last year?

Cahill and Saha are the only ones off the top of my head I can remember and we signed Beckford. Pienaar I'm pretty sure we were in talks with for a while, and I know there were talks with Arteta in the summer.

Surely we couldn't have outspent Man U though?

There have been loads of outs to be fair, loans as well as selling - i think thats part of it, as is contract renegotiation, fees for the Vellios, Roy of the lowlands, Strauq, McFadden, Dier, signed young lads. I also wonder are some of the agents used to attract investment part of the overall cost here - im sure those lids arent working for free.

Pretty sure Neville and Coleman signed new deals. Possibly Distin too.

I dunno, but that's what it says.

Think about the costs for Felli's new contract, the Pienaar saga, Arteta leaving us, Beckford going, and of course all the minor ins. I suspect Drenthe's and Stracq's agent got a lot, but i think we spent the most on the new contracts, all mentioned above.

It's a joke, sure, but we've spent more earlier. Wasn't it like 3,5m last time around? I think we can find that info on the OS.
