Ive just moved to kirkby from norris green so i still go down there and my local is the royal oak (the oak) so i would miss it in there also it has to be the salt and pepper chips from tso's on muirhead and of course everton.

I wouln't know where to begin lads. But obviously going the match, chippies, good live music in pubs, dropping in on mates for a jam session, cricket, decent gravy (like momma used to make it), sayers, legging it for the last tunnel bus coz you haven't got enough for a taxi, good comedy shows on telly and knowing the answers in trivial pursuit or tv quiz shows to questions about about old television programs are just a few.

Having said that I don't want to go back coz there's loads of good stuff out here too.

Yeah, but they're not English chippy dinners, or English rivers, or proper tea. And it certainly isn't English real ale.

It's just different.

Probably not as good as elsewhere admitedly, but it's ours and it's what we know.
