Music - Tom Waits, Dylan, Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Beck,

Films - Dog Day Afternoon, Tarantino, the first 3 star wars, Top Secret,

Literature - Whitman, Cummings, O'Hara, Kerouac, Ginsberg, Bukowski, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Elmore Leonard,

Fast Food - Big Mac may be as moreish but Taco Bell is crack cocaine. Get thee behind me satan. Cheap, nasty, calorific and nothing to do with quality authentic mexican food, but its ace.

US Sport - I'm one of the 0.5% of english people that "gets" the NFL. Cant say I feel the same about basketball, baseball or ice hockey.

Cities - Las Vegas (the only postmodern city in the world, architecture wise?), San Francisco.

Humour - Mr Hicks of course, Richard Pryor, Woody Allen, Eddie Murphy (in the 80's doing stand up was most funny), Curb your enthusiams is good as well.

many more of the top of my head.

I would like to pay homage to the Quiznos foot long Honey mustard chicken number that Dylan recommended to me.

I had two more that week. Its up there on the right arm of Taco Bell.

for all its faults, there are worse, but because its so big and powerful, the subservient underlings (countries) unite in disliking it.

A quick scan of my bookshelves, and I see Joseph Heller, Norman Mailler, Noam Chomsky, John Steinbeck, Jack Kerouac, Nassim Nicholas Teleb, Barry Lopez, Raymond Carver, Dave Eggers, Gore Vidal and Wendell Berry. There's more if I could be bothered getting up to look.

Similarly shitloads of music.

Can't think of any American food I'm especially fond of, though I do like my coffee 'Americano.'

Lance Armstrong can kiss my heiny, though.

Me. I love me.

The food
The people
The movies
The books
The ski resorts
The beaches
The forests
The Great Lakes
The bustle of a big city that never sleeps (NYC)
The cleanliness and safety of Seattle
The rural areas, where you can drive for hours and not see another vehicle on the road
and on
and on
and on
and on..........

Oh yeah, and Texas for having one of the largest crosses in the world.
