They're not playing for the manager & they're not playing for the badge.

The time for making excuses for them passed weeks ago. There are no excuses for the last few weeks' performances.

I hope we have a real clear-out in the summer because I'm sick of the sight of half of them and it's hard to watch and get behind of team of people who don't seem to care about the club they're playing for or the fans that turn out to support them.

Players play crap for crap managers, that's how it goes. Anyone who doesn't think a decent new manager won't make the world of difference needs to look back at the highlights of the 94/95 season and see how Royle transformed a team that looked every bit as bad as this one practically overnight

I can't get my head round one thing*. Surely Roberto can see that they're not playing for him. Why not give some of the kids a go?

*There are loads of things in this world that I can't get my head round but this is one that's relevant to the thread

Has the manager lost the dressing room? Most definitely.

That's not the worst part though. Managers lose the players trust all the time. Happened to Moyes at United and it happened to Mourinho at Chelsea.

The most disgusting, shameful and even hurtful part is that they're not playing for the badge, they're not playing for the club & they're not playing for the fans.

They're not showing any passion. They're not showing any fight. There's no desire to win. No hunger to create chances & score goals.

Even "born blue" Barkley can't be bothered to break a sweat and run back to challenge for the ball he's just went and lost.

Maybe it's the managers fault for losing their confidence but you'd think they'd have some professional pride in their own performances. Even if they don't care about the badge, you'd think they would care that the entire world is looking at them and laughing (or cringing out of embarrassment).

Sad, sad days.

I'm reminded of how Avram Grant lost the Chelsea dressing room: they ignored his intructions and almost won the Champions League and finished 2nd in the league.

Players can play for the badge even if the manager's a faith-sapping whopper.

That our players didn't tells us a lot about their 'quality'.

people aren't just moaning about it now though are they, we've all been moaning for months but nothing gets done about it.
Well it is clear they are waiting till the summer to change the manager. As hard as it is to wait we have to.

The actions of the club over the summer are huge in getting the fans back on side. We have to hope the club do something to put a smile on our faces again.

Hopfully it's now just one game and he will be gone, I'm not quite sure why he keeps coming out and doing interview just send out someone else as he's just embarrassing himself now as he must surely know his time is up, nothing from the club supporting him it's as if he turns up for work and is invisible the players are playing like there is no manager instructing them at all. This shouldn't have been allowed to go on for so long, but just like Everton they don't seem to deal with problems very well. This is worse now than Mike Walkers time here and that's saying something.

I hope we can use Moshiris money to subsidise some cut price sales and ship most of the players out. 50 mil for Stones in Jan
buy him now for 10 mil, same with Lukaku and Barkley fire sale get shut asap

I honestly believe that with a new manager the problem with the players is fixed. Is it wring that the players have down tools for so long? Yeh it probably is but they would be as dispirited as we are constantly having to listen to Martinez.
