Yeah, if it's jus a song we sing here and there, that's fine, but it's not an anthem that's going to get us roaring, or that will be good to open or close the match. It also seems a bit meaningless to Everton.. is the attraction simply that it's a nice sounding song?

Good song by a Scouse band, which was written and sang by a big Evertonian.

Would rather that be playing before the game than some random pop song.

I know its sacrilege to say(and im ready for all the middle finger emojis), but i really think its time to leave that song behind us with Goodison. Maybe find something that would excite people born after the 1960s too

Theres been a few Evertonian bands/musicisns over the years, The Beatles being most famous, and the La's, but also Shane McGowan was a blue, Ian Astbury from the Cult, Cranebuilders, The Dead 60s.

Obviously following yesterday, Bill Ryder Jones from the Coral, but think the rest of them are reds? Same with the Zutons, think a couple may have been blues but pretty sure they are mostly reds.

The Wombats are blues though as well i think, and im sure Gomez too?

Always heard the Corrs where blues as well, because their uncle played for us in the 50s.

The feeling I get when I hear “there she goes” is the feeling I get when I think how much Everton mean to me. Everton could definitely be the “she” in that song for me.
