I have to mark you down for repetition there, Neb.

Otherwise that's an impressive bit of verbal dexterity which must be correct because I haven't got a ******* clue.

Cheers Dave. But that's nothing compared to the brilliant Alan Sokal's hoax article: "Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity", which was published by the cultural studies journal: Social Text.

Superb. Only in academia could they then take on board the hoax and make it the centre of another series of 'serious' papers. I love to hear of scams like that.

I've got Sokal's book on the "affair". It's a great read, and probably available on eBay for 50p or something. It kinda reinforced a lot of views I had on the postmodernist scourge that has violated academia from the '60s and onwards.

The book should be just one page with one sentence: 'you've been punked!'.

Couldn't agree more on the postmodernism stuff. They can kiss my metanarrative.

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. You know if I didn't know better I would probably follow this sort of stuff. I wouldn't mind living in a world where we traded sheep or camels instead of money, something that's actually worth something even when "the market" is down. I believe the powers at be are deliberately putting the world in to debt so there is no where else to go but over haul the monetary system and have a one world currency and from there a one world government.

I suppose if we open our understanding to be inclusive of the Emergent and Symbiotic elements of natural law really aligning with the bedrock of our personal and social institutions, then it makes sense that life on earth will flourish into a system which will continuously grow in a positive way. Thus, we can't go far wrong with things. The means is the end anyhow.

Or, rather, let's consider the the premise of Zeitgeist as representative of the postcultural paradigm existing on a level above and beyond Marxian false-consciousness. As Zeitgestism now demonstrates, a contextualised model of cosmic-anarchism reflected above and beyond the the fundamentally explicit postmodernist materialist, can exist in harmony with the centrally-existing natural state of the Darwinian metamorphic transition of matter to mind; or indeed, mind to cosmic-materialism. Thus, identities encroached by the stratification of the social and cultural totality existing in orientalist social and sexual systems, are at once incorporated into a determinate and inderterminate reflux seen in all chaotic sub-systems.

Beam me up Scottie :D

Your too clever for me

Ive lived in a socialist country, its sound except that you have to factor for human greed.

Other than that, its sound. Sound with a thriving black market.

In summary: theres no perfect system, fuse some of that right and mostly left together and were talking. Like Old Labour.

It wasn't meant to be me thinking I was clever, which I'm confident you know anyway. I wrote nonsense, just like the Zeitgeists did on the website. It was drivel, mate. No meaning, just assorted big-words and post-sociological concepts meeting a few words borrowed from science.

I could equally have not bothered with that and pointed you to H.C Andersen's, The Emperor wears no clothes.

Sorry for being so disagreeable, though. I just find movements like this to be too cult-like and based on too little of anything to take seriously.
