Ex-Everton striker Yakubu on trial with Boreham Wood

Yakubu: Playing for Boreham Wood
Former Everton striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu will play for National League club Boreham Wood on Saturday.

The 33-year-old striker will feature against Reading, another one of his former clubs, in a pre-season friendly.

The former Nigeria international striker last played professionally for the Turkish outfit Kayserispor and counts Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Blackburn as his former clubs.

Yakubu, who has been capped 57 times by his country, is believed to be on trial with the Hertfordshire outfit.

Yakubu enjoyed his best spell at Pompey, where he scored 29 goals in 65 games in a two-year spell between 2003-05.

And there is no way he is only 33
