The Yak - a player worth keeping?

Player Valuation: £8m
So, is he actually off? Personally, with our forward line the way it is, unless someone else has been specifically lined up, I don't see the sense in willingly letting Yakubu leave the Club. IMO, he still has goals in him at this level. Thoughts?

Lazy, fat, lazy, fat and did I mention lazy?

He was all of these and still scored goals and will continue to do so, but no, its time he went elsewhere.

His career is littered with 1/2 years of effort at a Club then he looks for his next payday.

How much money could we get for him and who would that money go towards? I can't see us replacing him with a player of higher quality, but I also don't think the Yak will show all his ability for Everton again, because of what's happened the past couple of seasons. I think if he really wanted to fight for his place at Everton, he could be our best striker, but I'd be surprised if he had that sort of motivation. So I think he's got to go. I'll miss him as well!

He burnt his bridges with this club when he could have made it 3-1 against Spurs at home this year.

If you saw the match you'll know what I mean, sickened me that did.

Yeah that was the moment for me too. He really Anichebe'd that one. He may as well have passed it to the nearest Spurs player when he received the ball in the first place.

Zero desire to get away from his man (who he had a ten yard head start on) and zero desire to shoot.

Yak and Yobo are not good enough anymore and need to be sold on as soon as so we can improve the squad.

Sadly I no longer heart the Yak, and sadly he no longer hearts Everton. Therefore he has to go.

I reckon Celtic would be a good place for him.

He is (was) a great finisher but since that lengthy injury has been a shadow of his former self.

I loved the Yak when he was banging them in for fun, but given his goalshy performances since the injury coupled with his poor workrate, that combo isn't something that will endear him to the Goodison faithful.
