The worlds going soft - No footy on snow?

can I break up the mystery tour for one moment, surely they use sufficiently colored balls in adverse weather conditions such as what's going on in parts of the country, these days games seem to get called off more often if a snowflake dares to fall from the sky, it wasn't always like that.

I remember back in the day players giving it a go with yellow and/or orange balls in the snow, there have been some fine examples of this, but damned if I can think of any right now.

I must add that back in the late 1970s we played Swindon Town in the FA cup and if correct it was a snowy day over in Wiltshire, game went ahead, and some guy called Stroud I think it was was about 40 yards out with the (orange) ball, and next thing it was in the net, not sure of who was in goal that day, but it was a stupendous shot from distance in difficult conditions.
