The wacky world of Brendan Rodgers

Brenda can speak spanish? Sure he said something like that on the Managers show on BT with Martinez. Fair play to him. Wish I could

What you need is more Spanish holidays to get tuned in. I do not mean going to the likes of Benidorm where they all speak English.

Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers flies out to Malaga AGAIN... but this time he chooses not to travel by private jet

Sacked Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers appears to be making the most out of his time away from football with the Northern Irishman flying to Malaga for the second time in the space of a week.

Rodgers was pictured on an easyJet flight from Liverpool to Malaga on Monday as he jetted away to soak up more of the Spanish rays.

Despite not having to deal with the stress of managing one of England's biggest football clubs, Rodgers appeared to be in the need of some sleep during the 2 hour, 55 minute flight.

Is that your selfie, Mate?

I actually hope he does well elsewhere, his quotes are too funny for him not to be in an around football. Also it would annoy the rs.

Laugh it up all you like lads, but he's walking out of there with millions of pounds, a young twinkie on his arm and enhanced dentistry. He's played the long game here boys and fooled you all. He's like verbal at the end of the usual suspects,

That's true. Rodgers absolutely mugged LFC. Ramped up his meagre credentials (with the aid of a willing media who'd built up his image in the first place as someone who was more than just a hod carrier for Roberto's Swansea project), gave the Liverpool owners a load of blarney about a philosophy and dossiers, and then they gave him a contract - which they later extended.

How much have they forked out on those 3 and a bit years? From my understanding it was a £120M net spend on fees, the wage bill rose from £118M per season the year Rodgers arrived to £144M by the time he was sacked, he received £3.5M per year wages for 3 seasons and was paid off with something like £7M.

My estimation = £230M he cost them, and produced nothing.

Basically what Rodgers did for Liverpool's owners, FSG, was to wipe out all the savings they made in acquiring LFC at a knockdown price from Hicks and Gillett. They may have pulled a fast one on H&G, but they've been taken to the cleaners by the Rodgers disaster.
