Colin Harvey to Shefield Wednesday was another shock to me.

I remember a banner hanging from the Main Stand at the next home game proclaiming....."£60,000.....an insult to Colin Harvey"
I spoke to him about that once and said how they should have built a young reserve team around him to graduate to first team. He said nah, wanted a bit of first team football at a decent club and did see it as a sleight at all.

The Johnson/Belfitt trade is one of the great mysteries......there seemed nor rhyme nor reason to it.

Why would anyone trade a young, exciting prospect for an over the hill no mark?

There were rumours that Johnson had to get out of town because of a woman but they never substantiated to the best of my knowledge.
Johnson, whittle and seargent all moved on in quite quick succession. Belfitt was truly hopeless. Looked jelly legged with fear of playing for such a big club. Johnson a big red though so maybe he fancied a move anyway.

I remember Gravesen leaving, and being proper gutted cos he was boss.

Carsley too. McFadden. Anichebe. Vaughan. Beckford. Yakubu. AJ. Beattie.

I love an good old average striker, me.

Ferguson. I was sick was months over it. Absolutely gutted. I've never been bothered by a player moving on since in that way. Though Rooney , hutchison and barmby going to the rats annoyed me.

graveson was boss for half a season . The years before that we was ok at best.

First season i remember mate, live down south, and I just remember my dad watching the footy on the tele, and actually seeming to enjoy it. I must have been about 7. Got well into it that year, remember a Leicester player being sent off last minute and Gravesen scored the penno, and me and my dad went mental. Izzy/Izzard or something?

Alan Ball....I cried myself to sleep for days afterwards. Even thinking about it now hurts. Could never quite feel the same for HC after that although there may have been another side to it. Personally I think HC felt Ball was showing signs of being jaded and maybe a bit intolerant of the other players. HC would move them on pdq if he thought he was getting diminishing returns. Cost of new stand in the background too?

Annoyed at Rooney though because we got so little time out of him really.
Gutted at the Arteta one too mind you because it was such an example of us buckling when a player got itchy feet. We had seen the best of him though so regret rather than fume.

Joe Royle for me Xmas eve to Man CIty, cried all over xmas totally ruined it

Rooney, or rather the idea of a "true blue" leading the club back to glory again being taken away from me.

If Stones leaves in the next couple of years it will probably be that though. Shattered hopes again and all that. We absolutely must keep the current youngsters together.

Yeah, thats it I think. Handball on the line or something around christmas time... its funny the games you remember. Also remember a game where Marcus Bent equalised Southampton away last minute and my family went mental again, but I just sat there, "Yeah, but guys, Southampton are dog puke". I didn't understand the idea of good/bad performances back then.

Nothing compares to Alan Ball leaving our club.
Gutted completely, why do i want to go the next game without Bally, i cried my heart out.
All things in our house were Blue and Ginger, took me ages to get some semblance of sanity.
Players come and players go never ever will anyone affect me that way again.
Love all the lads that have and do play for Everton and hate them leaving, but thats the way it goes .....
Still miss Alan Ball.

Think because of my age, it was when Andy Gray left after those two brilliant seasons, I know we got lineker but it felt like we were breaking an amazing team up. Then when Trevor Steven moved on I was gutted.

Kanchelskis was another that was way too good for us at the time, what a player!
