Khalekan

Player Valuation: £80m
I remember waking up as a teenager one morning to discover Harry had sold Bally overnight.

The night the rumour went round the ground that Duncan would be returning with the visitors as a Barcode was also a major shock.

Ditto I had no inkling that little Mikky was about to leave until transfer deadline day 2011 or whenever it was.

Wayne we knew was leaving but it still saddened me greatly the day he up and went.

I can't remember if Links leaving was a bolt from the blue or if we had seen it coming.

But those five transfers for me were the mist significan during my time following the club and they span the generations.

I am going to vote Alan Ball leaving as the one which not only shocked me nut also saddened me the most.....my teenage bedroom wall was covered in posters of the great man :)

Rooney was a shocker! Wasn't too bothered by Lineker as I assumed we'd carry on being successful. Rooney's hurt proper.

Only old enough to remember Rooney to United and Arteta to Arsenal so went with the former

My Dad always mentions how as a 7 year old he cried his eyes out when Alan Ball left for Arsenal. I imagine that will get the most votes from people of a certain age.

Rooney was definitely the most painful in my lifetime, where we were at the time and the fact that we all saw him as our 'saviour' just added to the loss of a player who we all knew was destined for greatness. Him being a blue, all the 'Once a blue, always a blue', the mascot picture with Dunc, etc. again added to the fact of what we had just lost.

Kanchelskis for me. Gut wrenching.

Rooney gets a mention but it wasn't as bad as it was always going to happen. What hurt more about Rooney was the liar stating he isn't for sale for even 50m.
