TFC??? Team Fortress Classic???

(Half-Life mod, for those who don't know)

:mellow::mellow:

Sorry, I'll stop now.

CT looked what you have started, an all out branch of the Totonto FC fan club at EFC, only you mate(y) (y) ................some people:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

OK, this is most gratifying - I'll have to post periodic TFC info updates on this thread now (mostly to annoy Tx Bill :)).

The interest in this team in Toronto has been a major surprise. Pro soccer has never really caught on in Toronto. We're accustomed to Canada playing against, say, Honduras in Toronto, and 95% of the small crowd are shouting for Honduras.

Bit that was then and this is now...TFC home games have all been sell-outs - 20,000 - and the type of vocal home team support that I've only previously experienced in the UK. TFC shirts have been selling out and most stores cannot keep up with the demand.

You've identified Dichio (cult hero already), O'Brien and Samuel. Arguably the best players so far have been Jim Brennan (Canadian), played many years for Nottingham Forest and Norwich; and Carl Robinson (Welsh international) formerly of Wolves and Norwich among others. Not forgetting the manager, Trader Mo.

So welcome aboard the bandwagon, guys. Now if only we can win an away game sometime soon...

Update for the members (both of you):

On Saturday evening TFC visited the Kansas City Wizards, and came away with a 1-1 draw despite being outshot 26-12. It was an attacking, entertaining game (not my words), and each side had opportunities to win it in the last few minutes.

TFC goal scored by the legendary Danny Dichio (5th goal of the season). TFC's New Zealand international central defender was ejected for a second yellow card in the 76th minute.

TFC still loooking for their first away win. Next game in Salt Lake City Wednesday night. Real Salt Lake (yes, that is their name!) are the bottom team in MLS at present - expecting to break the duck.

Tell them to sign BT, for 5 million, and he will be their top player. That is not a joke either. He will get them 30 a season. easy
