Nah, it's subtle. Who the [Poor language removed] looks at corner flags that closely?

It's not like he suggested having the chairs on the Gwladys spell out his name.

That's a major, major gesture inside the stadium. He was ace but he didn't win anything and wasn't part of one of our greatest sides. I'm not trying to be a miserable [Poor language removed], we just need some context here. He'll be remembered as one of many great players to play for our club and that's a legacy indeed.

Putting his number on the corner flags is far too much.
 

I've never experienced being so sad about an Everton player leaving. He's been an Everton player for the majority of the time I followed football properly and Everton with Tim Cahill just seems weird.

Haven't felt like this over a player leaving since Dunc was forced to newcastle. Not even when Rooney went

For footballing reasons, it's a good idea.

But I'm absolutely gutted. He's been my football hero and I love the man. Legend.
 
We have had the best years out of him and he was a great player. Time to move on, great player, great memories. Thank you Tim.
