if you look underneath there are some panels that unscrew and the hard drive is in 1 of them, it just pulls out and fits into an 'adapter' called a 'caddy' which via usb becomes a portable hard drive, you can access your 'arl musings and files and also save your new stuff on there, I was told that they are about £15 and will do it when I get a new laptop.

I'm on a mac, but if I've written and saved a bit of text, its indexed on my computer. I can search for the text and through that find where the document has got to.

Windows users must be able to do a similar search, yes? People? Can anyone assist LCAB here?

Can't you write it in a word processor and then cut and paste it.

I sometimes do that, if I'm writing a larger piece in a thread and I don't want it to disappear in a computer related glitch.

Dude , THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT I HAD DONE !!!

I think I fukd up on the saving , I concur , but I even tried to send the Paragraph I found this morning , Cut/Paste , and it wouldnt have it .
