Also, a bit of local trivia about Charlie Chaplin. As a child he performed for a season at Henglers Circus (junction of Everton Rd/West Derby Rd, later became the Hippodrome Cinema). Whilst there he attended SFX school in Salisbury St and said it was the happiest time of his childhood.

More trivia about Chaplin, he always said he was born in London but when his son was clearing out his correspondence he found some letters saying that his Mother was a Gypsy and at the time of his birth was residing in Black Patch Park , Smethwick, so our Charlie a Yam Yam
