What's beautifully deserving is the ground that served to signal the end of them, I can't get over it.
 
Although I can't really speak as to Steve Round's abilities, you do get the impression that he's been incredibly lucky and will never ever land a job as big as Everton or United again.

Much as I don't like defending Moyes, Irvine was back way before DM left. Pretty sure Irvine only left because he was taking over as Preston manager, not because Moyes wanted to replace him

Not in his previous capacity though. In his current one.

Not sure what you mean Groucho. He was assistant manager here, left the club to take over as Preston manager. He then came back to the club in 2011 to take over as Academy manager - which is the job he'd done at other clubs before joining Everton in the first place.

I mean he didn't return in the assistant manager role, that he held before going to Preston.
