As for the Smiths..well sorry i think there where 2 better bands than them mainly becuase they didnt get hissy and split up after a couple of years and they where..

New Order and even better than that mighty band

The Cocteau Twins sheer genius and a band i was lucky to see a few times they got better the longer they went on.

That makes two of us mate. I was in a massive Smiths mood this weekend thanks to Giraffe's thread. Was in the car yesterday actually and had the ipod on shuffle and "The Queen is Dead" came on and I was singing at the top of my lungs. The cars around me must have thought I was a nutter.

I have said the same thing quite a bit recently. I work with some younger people in their 20's and when they ask/talk to me about high school and those days, it just seems so long ago. Like another life. I know it was mine cuz I have the memories and scars, but it's surreal.
