THE SECOND PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE FFS

Some corkers from Romney here to be honest.

Highlights including:
I'm gonna make employers so desperate for workers that they will HAVE to hire women!
I'll even let them leave at 5PM so that they can get back in the kitchen and make dinner for their kids!
I had binders full of women

I liked Obama's admission that he wants to deport "gang-bangers".

Romney and George Bush aren't the same.

Bush has a southern accent.

Romney has just completely blew it on foreign policy with the accusations at Obama. He's just lost any chance of the Presidency right there.

The worst bit is it's not even about Obama being good, it's about Romney being BAD. I'd much prefer it if the Republicans had a proper candidate.

Agree - Romney doesn't seem genuine and you get the impression that he makes up half of his policies off-the-cuff.

Obama still needs a knockout blow to get ahead though.

Narrow but much-needed win for Obama.

He's still vulnerable on the economy though.

It wasn't narrow IMO. That blooper on Benghazi will be replayed over and over until election day - Romney has just accused the US President of disrespecting the dead and failing to recognise terrorism, which is completely wrong, he's corrected on by the invigilator and the audience applaud and laugh at Romney. I couldn't actually script a worse error than that.

Also, his "100% of the American people" remark has gone down really, really badly.

Romney: "Mr. President, have you looked at your pension?"
Obama: ...
Romney: "Have you looked at your pension?"
Obama: ...
Romney: "Mr. President, have you looked at your pension?"
Obama: "I haven't looked at it, but I know it isn't as big as yours"

Where were you expecting that line of inquiry to lead to, Mitt??

The only full debate I've seen is the VP debate last week. Biden absolutely mauled Ryan to pieces. That was judged 'a draw' by the commentariat. Laughable.

Unemployment figures coming down below 8% is likely to be way bigger than what's said in any of these debates anyway...and the fact that Romney is an arrogant, out of touch plutocrat who's basically unelectable!!!

Romney is a terrible politician because he doesn't even manage to come across as sincere half the time and an awful person because of his contempt for anyone who isn't a straight white middle class male.

Obama is a terrible politician because of his utter failiure to actually manage to get any any of his proposed policies passed as law and an awful person because of his murderous drone based foreign policy.

If I was american, I'd want a third option.

The reason I called it narrow is because it wasn't an impressive performance by either men, where as in the first debate Romney wiped the floor with Obama - Obama was undoubtedly better today, but to win big he needs to do better, people have heard the 47% vs 100% debate in the news for the past few weeks, it's not going to have much impact now.
