Name costly mistakes from Hibbert?

I can name 3 from Coleman of the top of my head.

Reading penalty. Possibly first could of been prevented by him.

Fulham - gave ball away and failed to pick up.

Fa cup semi final.

All costly

I agree he has improved so much fans have short memories he saved two certain goals yesterday when JH was nowhere not shown on MOTD!

100% this. He made an excellent last ditch sliding tackle yesterday to prevent a certain goal and has come on leaps and bounds this season

Really?!

Mate you sound a little short sighted.

Sorry mate.

i wasn't aware there was an 'issue'. Seamus is improving week on week. Yesterday was a blip. Those mistakes will disappear the more experience he gets. Tony Hibbert is Tony Hibbert.

It's just as important to be good going forward as it is to defend properly at full-back these days with most sides having a packed midfield playing 4-5-1. None of the other options carry anywhere near his threat going forward.

FA Cup final. Derby when he got sent off. Own goal he scored when he just booted it in...

Hibbo in the cup final was much much worse than any mistake Coleman has ever made tbh.

I like him as a person, seems like a good sort, but there's no question that can be posed where 'Hibbo is the answer'.

If Moyes reverts back to him over Coleman he's lost it. He's took the brakes off this season, and opening up new attacking options has been key to our early successes. Personally, I dont think he'll go conservative after a couple of ropey results.

If Baines gives away that penalty yesterday, this thread simply doesn't happen.

Basically, the following image sums up what is happening here.

Malouda doing him like a kipper in the only cup final we've been in in the last 18 years.

I don't agree, over a period of 10 years the only things listed are "hindsight" things that happened.

Sent off in derby - if I remember rightly Gerrard was clean through. Hibbert made last ditch challenge to prevent him scoring. Wouldn't say a mistake.

Own goal not sure which one but did it cost us points. Need to know which game score etc...

Fa Cup Semi Final - Hibbert didn't make a mistake, he was just not up to it. Along with Osman who was infront of him. They both got ran ragged that game. No mistakes though.

Coleman over a 3-4 year career with us has always been suspect tackling and very lucky on many occasions not to give away penaltys etc. he has also cost is 4 points at Fulham and reading

*own goal vs West Ham? We won 2-1 didn't cost us anything so wouldn't say costly mistake
