The right back issue

Coleman will be fine, he is just adjusting back into the position after playing further up for a couple of years! He will be quality in the future! Agreed he has dropped a few bolock over the last couple of weeks but he is improving defensivly all the time.

There is no problem at RB IMO. Obviously if we had plenty of funds yeah sure you'd have to say buy quality but given we need other reinforcements in more important possistions I think having the options of Coleman Hibbert and Neville is plenty for a top 4 challange.

Stupid challange by Coleman yes but several other RB's would of done the same. If the rest of the team were sticking the ball in the net more we really wouldn't be talking about RB.

Combining Hibbert and Coleman into super snide Tonemus Colebert will not only halve the wages of both players but provide both attacking and defensive excellence to our Right hand side.

I don't agree, over a period of 10 years the only things listed are "hindsight" things that happened.

Sent off in derby - if I remember rightly Gerrard was clean through. Hibbert made last ditch challenge to prevent him scoring. Wouldn't say a mistake.

Own goal not sure which one but did it cost us points. Need to know which game score etc...

Fa Cup Semi Final - Hibbert didn't make a mistake, he was just not up to it. Along with Osman who was infront of him. They both got ran ragged that game. No mistakes though.

Coleman over a 3-4 year career with us has always been suspect tackling and very lucky on many occasions not to give away penaltys etc. he has also cost is 4 points at Fulham and reading

*own goal vs West Ham? We won 2-1 didn't cost us anything so wouldn't say costly mistake

You seem to forget him misjudging the bounce that led to gerrard getting clean through. and isnt not being up to it far worse than making a mistake.

I think Everton really need to address the problem of our right backs. In terms of quality, we've two quality right backs in Hibbo and Neville, but both are getting on a bit, and I think the majority of us think Coleman's not up to scratch. Thoughts on this? Is Seamus good enough? And who can we buy on our budget to replace him?

Coleman is a great wee player. Still learning his trade at rb in the premier league though, but he is what we need. He provides attacking balance to a team that was for so long, lob sided. Without the money to go amd buy a complete rb I would have Coleman at rb any day of the week ahead of Hibbert and Neville.

His defensive mistakes have cost us in a few games, but lets not ignore the contributions he's made to team that's had it's best start in years. It's hard watching him make the mistakes and not think "drop him", but he is learning from these mistakes you can bank on it.

He needs to stay in the team.

Hibbert offers us more defensively, but that's to be expected. I for one think that Coleman balances our play across the pitch far more than having one attacking fullback in Baines and one fullback who gets dizzy if he goes past the half way line.

The more Coleman plays, the more he'll improve defensively. Hibbert won't get better on the attack.

Well said mate.

you could say our form has been poor since Jelly returned & Victor has been dropped/injured he was taking his chances with ease - Jelly is missing them with ease - going through a bad patch - the centre defence is our problem & Jelly will come good again!

To have a wing back who has made goals assisted our flowing football & fans want him dropped ????
JH needs to be dropped!

Fine. But the FA cup final where he was subbed at half time for Lars Jacobsen is probably bigger than any mistake Coleman has made.

Teams drop points. ****ting it in one of the biggest games of his career to win a trophy is a once in a lifetime mistake.
