I mainly agree with you, but Moyes' approach to playing away at Arsenal is pretty similar to Dyche's. I can remember in our peak Moyes years when we were 5th in the table, going away to teams 1 or 2 places above us in the table and playing with no bravery as if we were relegation fodder. We even approached games against the RS like relegation fodder when we were above them in the table.Moyes’ football is pragmatic, which means he adapts his game plan based on the opposition and other factors. He has a plan of how to set up away to Arsenal and it’s different to the plan he sets up with at home to Leicester, the weeks training beforehand will be tailored towards these games.
Sean Dyche is not pragmatic, he’s just defensive. He only knows how to set up in a low block and hoof set pieces to the big lads at the back post. He has absolutely no idea how to adapt his game plan based on the opposition’s strengths and weaknesses. When plan A of camping everyone on the edge of the box and hoping to win a free kick in a dangerous position doesn’t work, he’s utterly stumped. He hasn’t worked on anything else during the week.
Once more for the people at the back. They are not comparable managers in any way.
I’m aware of that. I wanted Dyche sacked weeks ago. Six months for Moyes would do me and then move on. Just can’t be arsed with him for 2 years. It’s just the sheer lack of imagination that drains any enthusiasm out of me.we won’t be in the prem in BMD if this isn’t sorted - hence dyche booted
More recently ( as of when he gets appointed ) didn't we want all traces of the Kenwright era erased and start a new era top to bottom.Evidently ha![]()
Surprised it's not more tbh
We literally lost 6-0 to Chelsea under Dyche months ago.Can you also show the 7-0 at Arsenal mate.
Or any of the other huge embarrasing losses during his stint.
Knife to a gunfight and all that.
From the sounds of it though, TFG didn't want to sack Dyche and wanted to try and back him but he left them with no choice because for them it's easier and better if we get to the summer with Dyche, ties are cleanly cut and we can move forward. The poor performance of Dyche this season and the severe dip in character in the last few weeks has meant they've had to throw all hypothetical plans out of the window and go with the best of a bad set of options through relatively no fault of their own.It seems to be all the time though, sack mid season, he's available get him, he'll do for now, no progression.
That's not really true by the by. In general I agree with you, but Moyes was equally as stubborn - when he found the Bainaar cheat code we relied on it so much that if either didn't play the team looked clueless 90% of the time.Moyes’ football is pragmatic, which means he adapts his game plan based on the opposition and other factors. It does matter though paying someone of 10mil 6 months into a two half year contract is throwing money away.No manager since Roberto has lasted longer than two years , ultimately doesn't matter the length of the contract they have the money to get rid whenever it suits them be it 6 months 12 months
He did alright when he 'went back' to West Ham likeI hope he proves me wrong but I do not want Moyes, never go back.
Well, out of those "D first" boys even field marshal Kesselring was better in attacking than Dyche so that side won't be a problem.I'm not arsed as long as manages to keep us up. He's got to be better than Dyche attacking that's for sure. If you look at what he done at West Ham compared to Lopatgi it will hopefully be a step in the right direction.
And tbf to moyes he did it over a long haul with a small budget - kept producing teams that could compete for Europe. I like Martinez but he folded after that first season.Moyes finished 4th and reached a cup final. I mean, I wish Martinez outdid that like.
