Some of the football under Moyes was brilliant.

Baines Pienaar Osman Arteta all in tandem Lescott bringing out the back, Cahill linking with Yakubu

When it was good it was very good
Took him a while to get that team together. Do you think we have any of those kind of calibre players now?
N’Daiye maybe and Branthwaite. No one else comes close with this lot.

Anyone expecting anything other than a continuation of more pragmatic football under Moyes is in for a shock. Well, a disinterested yawn maybe.

Happy clappers are out in force bringing out the nostalgia of 8th place finishes.

They all conveniently forget we had far, far better players doing the attacking and that Moyes will absolutely be continuing the Dychian philosophy of "Clean sheet first".
You know you would snatch an 8th place right now.

Well, pragmatic would make sense, but we've gone on to want pragmatic football and hired two managers who aren't pragmatic, so that might be one of the issues.

I've slept on it

I've deliberated, digested and congitated and I've come to the conclusion that I simply can't be arsed with Moyss coming back.

Everything about Everton is just so meh isn't it.
I'm the opposite. Moyes was the last time I really loved Everton, it's been downhill since he went, hope he can bring some pride back to the club, it's been missing for a while now.

Maybe an overstatement but we've had some absolute shockers, close to Dyche levels, or even equaling but just for a game, rather than you know, 10 years.

Yeah exactly, it wasn’t a trend that went on for whole seasons. Those one off shockers we had under Moyes, they were literally the norm under Dyche.

As I’ve said many times, you simply cannot compare the two as managers. They operate at entirely different levels.

That’s down to player quality, which is the point I’ve been making for ages.

It will be pragmatic at first for sure but Moyes has shown that he can improve a teams style over times better players.
