Such a beautifully written show. Comedy at its absolute finest.
On the DVD extras, there is an interview with Nielsen and he sums it up perfectly. There is no mean comedy, he highlights when the Captain uses his closed eye to look into the microscope, Frank is being helpful when telling him to use the other eye. He could have said it sarcastically or mean but he simply says it in a 'non-funny' helpful manner as if it is just a simple mistake everybody makes, which adds to the comedy.

I remember an episode about a boxer who's in with mob, Drebin goes around to his house to investigate and on the wall in the background there are photos of him in action- and on everyone he's getting sparked out. lol
The Mob are also trying to force him to take a dive...in the 12th round !! lol
