The player you look for in a game

I read the game well, so everyone although i only have eyes for Arteta and Cahill really.

Don't be shy to name VDM even, everyone's a dumbass every once in a while.

especially if you're from the netherlands!

Seeing as I'm from Belgium, we usually assume that goes for everyone from the Netherlands ;) No offence DutchToffee
No offence taken. Here in Holland it's the other way around, speaking about those 'stupid Belgians'.:D Tbh though, I live very close to the Belgian border and often think the area I'm living in has more in common with Belgium than with Holland.(y)

Back on topic, has to be Cahill for me, although I watch out for the whole team.

Btw, I'm probably the most anti VDM poster on here.(n)

I started watching the club due to tim howard (usa connection) but I can't say I "look" for him each game - he's pretty easy to spot usually, and I hope that the ball never even gets close to him...
Today I know enough about each player that I get excited seeing anyone succeed, however I get most excited when Tim Cahill is on the field and having a great game.

So Howard brought me to the team, but I've stayed for Cahill (and arteta and pienaar and jags and fella and baines and pip, etc...).

Big fan of a midfield battler, but a battler with consumate finesse and an eye for a pass. They are few and far between, literally one or two per generation. Vieira was the last one, Fabregas could be the next. When they are good, they are better than gods.

"cahill during the game because well, let's face it, he is awesomness in a banana."

I'm using that one.

I used to watch Carsley, his reading of the game. I suppose Pip is in that role at the mo ......so dare I say it Phil Neville....Also the movement Cahill makes at set pieces is sometimes amazing.

They truly are, I love those viera-type players, scary as [Poor language removed], strong as hell and will tackle anything within sight when it's needed

I reckon maybe that's what we need, Moutinho is great but he's a playmaker more so than a war machine, I reckon we should get Kompany in two years, by then City will probably have demoted him to third choice to some big money players but it'd be a waste to let him go down like that, only problem would be his injury-proneness seeing as we've got enough of that going on..

Depends who's on the pitch and where the ball is but I'm typically watching Tim, Mikel or Baines if we're in their half and Jags or, believe it or not, Hibbo if we're defending (Hibbo gets too much stick for his passing and not enough recognition for his timing of tackles...his worst attribute is actually running with the ball at his feet, which is a shame because he does have enough pace for that skill to be useful). I'll also watch Tim if we're taking or defending a corner, just to see which defender he out-jumps.
