The Plan

We know Moyes had a 5 year plan when he arrived, and I believe he attained what he set out to do.

I would love to know what his new 5 year plan is. Ok so he has no money, he wanted a big money signing, or Kenwright did, whatever. But if we look at two players who are going to make an impact providing Man U don't come sniffing, and that is Rodwell and Baxter. If Rodwell is going to carry on in the same path so far this year, then maybe he is the reason Moyes has not signed a defensive midfielder.

Maybe the plan is in 5 years time to be a top 4 club outright, without having the need to spend stupid money.

People are saying that Man City are going to dominate because of money, but I doubt they will. Liverpool have the less amount of funds out of the top 4 but they are top. QPR are meant to be the second richest club in the world, behind City. Lets see how they develop. Its not about money, its about how your team plays as a unit.

So with that I really think Moyes is looking to pick up the players he has in the past, but blend it with these young guns coming through. And if that is the plan, then that's fine with me.

we should be thankfull what hes done but we make no progress now for three years. give him this season and then we need to look at doing better if we want to win things.

Do you honestly believe the reason we are not winning things is because of Moyes?

Yes we all know that. But what is the solution? Because I can tell you now, its not the manager. We can sack Moyes and get someone else in, but its the same players, the same poxy transfer budget. Same problems.

Just get real and think about it rather than just moan about the fact we have won nothing for years. We don't have a divine right, most of the clubs winning trophies are doing so through hard work both on and off the field and in the marketing sectors. Its not rocket science to understand that.

We havent won anything because we dont deserve to win anything. Our team isn't good enough. Its not Moyes's fault. What he's done with a lot of average players has been amazing. To miss out on Europe this year will be a big dissapointment if it happens, but hardly a surprise. With the funds we have and the players we've got, we are punching above our wait. Give me 6th and some decent signings to push for 5th and then same again there on, and Ill be happy.

Yeah we can make steady progress with good buys, frees and good academy players. But if we are going to get up there with the rest we need to be excellent in all areas. Not just on the field.

That's the problem - HISTORY.

History has gone and it does nobody any good now.

I couldn't care less what happened 14 years ago, 24 years ago, 60 years ago. Its what's happening now that's important. And its all about financial management, academy development, and intuitive marketing exploits.

Yes but football is different now. Its about marketing the club to generate income to supplement the squads that are needed.

Were you complaning that night that we weren't the best team in Europe because we hadn't won the European Cup?

Because although we were good that night we weren't the best in Europe were we?
