Who cares about Hull, just win our remaining games and let the rest worry about us.

The only way Man Ure will compete in Europe is if they enter The European Song Contest which OFM should be good at as he is use to NIL POINTS!

So who gets the place for finishing 5th?

5th is still auto europa. If arsenal win cup and finish 4th hull get europa a la Wigan last season. 6th place has been given becuase its a fore gone conlusion that citeh will finish in top4. not sure why it doesnt apply to carling cup with runners up. it should may give it a little boost on terms of status and a bit more wonga thrown in.

Bring back the old system I say Champions league for 1 team Uefa cup for the others and the C.W.C. for the cup winners. And while we are on it, none of this dropping out the champions league if you finish 3rd in your group only to get another stab at silver wear in the Europa league

Won't happen Mate. It was changed by the rich clubs to keep them rich and the rest of us away...........

So who gets the place for finishing 5th?

Hull are surely guaranteed Europa. If Arsenal finish 4th or 5th.

If the winner of the FA cup has qualified for Europe through a league placement then the runner-up gets the Europa place.

Right lads? Lads? LADS?

We're still there with a great shout arsenal will slip up forget the papers and run ins its time to make the old lady bounce when at home. its been a better than expected season.

ITS ON LIKE DONKEY KONG

no only CL entries from memory its to do with entry numbers

Can not see us getting 4th - we have blown it. Not only do Arsenal have easy games (which they will win), but they have the main players returning from injury.

Newcastle have become the more or less the joke team of the premier league (and will not do anything against Arsenal).

West Brom play at the Emirates so (that most likely to be an home win for Arsenal).

Hull will not want to put out there strongest team (as they both meet in the cup final).

Norwich are poor and will be relegated (easy win for Arsenal).

Do you know how hard it is to tip 4 winners out of 4? You've just had a stab so put some money on it and tell us what odds you get

Right here goes hope this helps......(PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE VERY LAST LINE!!)

Teams competing in the Barclays Premier League may qualify for either the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League.
UEFA Champions League
The top four teams in the Barclays Premier League qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
English winners of the UEFA Champions League finishing outside the top four places (but who qualify for the UEFA Europa League through their domestic Barclays Premier League position) go forward as Winners to the group stage along with domestic champions, runners-up and third place.
No extra domestic place can be gained by winning the UEFA Champions League, therefore the team finishing fourth drops to the UEFA Europa League.
English winners of the UEFA Champions League who do not qualify through their domestic position go forward as Winners to the group stage, with the team finishing fourth dropping to the UEFA Europa League. In this case, the national association of the title-holder is entitled to one additional place in the UEFA Europa League.
UEFA Europa League
There are three places in the UEFA Europa League available: the FA Cup winners will enter at the Group Stage; the fifth place team in the Barclays Premier League will enter at the Play-Off stage; and the Football League Cup winners will enter at the Q3 stage.
In the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the UEFA Champions League the FA Cup runners-up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking Barclays Premier League representative. The place with direct access to the Group Stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the Barclays Premier League of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.
Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.
Fair Playwinners enter at the Qualifying round 1 stage.
This place will automatically go the three best-placed national associations in the UEFA Respect fair play rankings provided they achieve an average of 8.0 points or more. The top three associations will then be entitled to enter the club that has either won their domestic top-division fair play competition, or if they are already qualified, the runners-up and so forth.
Please note that the above is purely a guide to the qualification procedure at present. From time to time other scenarios may occur which could mean that the above proceduresmayneedto be reviewed.

Seriously though, the best thing I have found for accessing arcane niches of the brain's lateral thinking (cryptic crossword) computing powers is 100mgs every second day of the amino acid phenylalanine . It converts to dopamine in the old grey matter....then again, it may just be placebo lol

A couple of pints of Guinness works best for me.

I'm optimistic we'll still be in the prem next year which after what happened with Bobby's last club is a bonus.
Been a good first season for him here, nothing extraordinary but more than acceptable.

After our loss to Palace I've seen loads of Arsenal fans going crazy over being 4 points behind City- "is it on!??! is it on?!?!?!"
No, its absolutely not on for you fools- every game week will shuffle the odds right until the end- where we'll end up celebrating european qualification.
great season this :D
