My old bus to school was the navy and cream 46A of the old CIE in Ireland. I loved those old buses.

Far too much comfort these days.

There was a cupboard at the front upstairs that you could open with an alun key you could change the number and destination
We would change it to 500 ( which was the happy bus) and PRIVATE .
Sorry for any inconvience caused to anyone travelling on the 68 in the mid 60s.

“Can I just get off here mate?” driver would just open the door for you no matter where the bus was
