The Oldies Thread

Unless they have not updated their website, you can still get free Merseytravel age 60

Merseytravel offers free travel on all buses, trains and Mersey Ferries river crossings for anyone aged 60 or over who lives in Merseyside.

When you reach your 60th birthday you can apply for a Merseytravel Over 60s travel pass. Once you reach State Pension Age you will be given your English National Concessionary Travel Pass which also allows you to travel on local bus services anywhere in England.
You can find out when you reach your State Pension Age on
the Government website.
Our Tory dominated East Riding of Yorkshire Council definitely don't offer it until State Pension Age. You lucky people!

You sure?
I only got mine at 62, which at that time was in line when women qualified for state pension. They're qualifying age increased gradually to what it is today, 66 yrs of age.
Do you mean the Merseytravel pass ? , my mates and I all got them when we were 60. I’ve caught up with the thread now !.

Everton related.
Brian Blessed has been on Ken Bruce tracks of my years this week and by coincidence was in the car listening to each of the days offerings.
A couple of times he mentioned his starting in Z Cars back in the sixties and how he loved his association with the city and hinted his choices would reflect that.
Today was his last segment and his last choice wasn't the pipes and drums of our anthem but frigging YNWA. What a let down.

Found this site which details the history of advertising. There's thousands of videos of adverts ; the link below shows adverts in date order, but I'm sure there's a facility somewhere that will find specific brand adverts.

The 1960s adverts start here - is OMO still going ?
