I was up in the loft yesterday morning looking for an old photo album and I came across a handbag with loads of old coins in it
There are half-crowns, florins, shillings, threepeny bits, tanners, pennies, halfpennies and farthings. There's even a few of the old 'joey's' (silver threepeny bits)
Also a couple of 'commemorative' coins and various foreign coins.
The Grandkids can't believe that you would have needed 960 farthings to make up £1.

…no idea but I recall playing in a representative schoolboy footy tournament for the County in Skegness and all the teams stayed in a holiday camp built for coal miners.
