After lashing out in retaliation during a troubling dream last night I woke with a thump as I hit the floor. I was lying, surrounded in the remains of the toughened glass bedside table protector, one jewel-like piece embedded in my forearm, and water from my overnight glass. The CPAP machine (treatment for severe obsructive apnoea) was also on the floor and I was still wearing the mask with the tube still attached. I popped the glass out later like squeezing a spot.
It was around 04:30 and l obviously woke Mrs TT who, after making sure I was OK, cleared up all the bits of glass. As toughened glass explodes, rather than breaks into shards, there were bits spreaded behind and under the bed too.
I researched falling out of bed when dreaming and saw there's a condition called REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder, where sleepers act out actions during random eye movement, when dreams occur. Apparently it's something that is common mostly in over 60 males. I hope it's not that because it often leads to Parkinson's.
Coincidentally, the dream was also another scenario of recurring nightmare, which is another, different condition
I'm a mess!
