Howard: Needs Jags back to kick our defenders up the @rse.
Hibbert: Did he actually get forward and cross the ball? Neil is a much better right back. Sorry Hibbo.
Yobo: At fault for the goals. Just how hard is it to put pressure on attackers when the run at you????? If you let players of the quality of lastnight get a shot off then expect to concede goals.
Distin: Same as above^
Baines: Close second to our best player last night. However he and billy aint playing well together the left yet. Given time I'm sure it will improve. Also he was left defending two or three Benfica players, as Billy was far too slow to get back and help him.
Bilyaletdinov: Not quite sure what game he was in attendance at last night. On a different wave length last night. Also he plays way too far in front of baines, hence hardly any overlapping runs like we get when peanuts is playing. I really like Billy, but last night he was utter rubbish. I'm sure he'll amend this performance soon enough though.
Fellaini: Our best player tonight. I personally find it funny when some whinge on about him being rubbish, not worth £15M. Well that's the fee we paid, so just deal with it!!!!! Before people criticise him they should look at other so called senior players!
Rodwell: Drifted in and out of the game all night. Lost the ball a few times, but also made some crucial tackles. At least he showed a bit of heart. Considering his age, i think some people expect far, far too much from him.
Gosling: Thought he tried hard tonight. Sometimes i think he tries too hard, and often over runs/complicate potential chances.
Cahill: Been really disappointed with him this year. Although he did show some appetite for the game last night. Is he missing Lescott though????
Yakubu: Still nowhere near being match fit. But then again as we all sing (well used to) feed the Yak and he will score. Well he ain't being fed at all at the moment is he!! Is that his fault? No.
Jo: PLEASE, PLEASE do not pay more than £5m for this guy if we do buy him.
I was absolutely gutted after the game last night, and then i had a 5 hour drive home just to compound my disappointment. I can handle losing. Its part of the game, but where the *uck has Evertons passion gone!!! Its all very well trying to play fancy, cleaver football. But FFS the players should get a bit of balls and back bones. Someone needs to step up to the plate and sort out our famous "team spirit".
There are many who slate Neville, but the guy is a leader. He has guts and passion, and we miss him greatly.
We deserved to lose last night, but we made it easy for Benfica last night, as they weren't too hot either.
I'm over it now, we will still qualify for the next round, but some of our players really need to look at themselves in the mirror and ask if they are trying their hardest for the team and the fans.
