We can talk all night about injuries, but the bottom line is that we are absolute rubbish at the moment.

Tonight, Fellaini looked like the only guy capable of being called a footballer, while the rest of the outfield players looked like they should be in the Championship.

Here's my verdict on tonights game:

Howard: Not much he could do about tonight.
Hibbert: Doesn't seem to look at players behind him. Pointless passing at the back.
Yobo: Caught out constantly despite a few tackles.
Distin: Utter tosh tonight. Deserves a bollocking.
Baines: Been poor since Lescott left.
Bilyaletdinov: Been disappointing since his debut.
Fellaini: Played quite well to be fair.
Rodwell: 2 goals and he thinks he's Lampard. Can't hit a barn door and careless in defense.
Gosling: Right wing might not be his best position. Struggled all night and looked hopeless.
Cahill: Exactly what is he bringing to the team this season?
Yakubu: Utter garbage. Yes he's been injured, but if your playing like a fat weeble wobble then you might as well fall down.
Jo: Biggest crier I've seen in a blue shirt.
Aggard: Give the lad a go. We have nothing to lose.

Moyes: Same old lack of ideas. We should have a V-Bookie substitution time if we haven't already so we can all clean up. It took him more than 70 minutes to realise what every fan knew after 15, so why does he always wait so long?

We have a defender as a manager, but stand off on every challenge. Say what you want about Liverpool, but they don't give the opposition a second on the ball. Why can't we do this?

No wonder Goodison has lost atmosphere if that's what is on the menu every week.

Rightfully booed off. (n)

Can you beat that?

Tony Hibbert is the biggest joke that has ever worn the blue shirt.

Cahill was amazing tonight.

Are you for real? What exactly did Cahill do to justify being amazing?

I tell you what he did, he jumped about a foot below his opponent and then tried to win free-kicks, he played more sideward passes than anyone in history.

Amazing? jesus your easily pleased.

Clueless trash. Benfica are a good team. But they should never be Olé-good on another top league team's own ground. A humiliating surrender monkey of a performance. I dont care who was out injured.

Tonight's performance just made me angry. No will at all. Every time benfica went forward I thought they were going to score. That's not good enough. I didn't expect a win, but I expected a good performance.

Utter [Poor language removed].

Strikers:

Saha is world class.
Yakubu and Jo are not up to it, and it will be some time before the Yak hits form by the look of it.

I'm tired of watching the same players getting the same results.

When Saha is unfit, give the kids a go, or don't play any strikers, and do what we did last year.

We have about the slowest team I can remember at Everton, so in January, buy the quickest Championship or ?Any? player there is and throw him on the wing.

Maybe the womens team have a few spare players.

Agree with what you have said about Fellaini. I am normally critical of him but tonight I was angry with the players around him who made absolutely no effort to make space. He was there looking around for somebody to pass to, only Rodwell and Bily made an kind of movement. Maybe the rest of the team was busy making bowel movements from the fear they had for Benfica!
