Royle Family all day long, Office isn't funny

It's Northern, it's more realistic, it's funnier, Gervais is a tit and the humour is more intelligent.

No doubt people will go, 'Tomlinson is a Kopite so Office' - even so its a fantastic programme

It's The Office for me.

It's just cleverer. And as I work in an office i can relate to it pretty well.

Also, I once put a mates stapler in jelly.

never seen the royle family so cant comment. the office was just about watchable but really not worth the bother, gervais=very unfunny guy. now......... theres a funny show called `episodes` dont know if anyone has seen it here but its well worth a watch.

The Office. Actual classic British comedy to be ranked up there with the likes of Fawlty Towers, Blackadder and Partridge for me. It was the Xmas special that did it for me. There was something really quite human and genuinely touching about it, more than just comedy, particularly when David finally tells Finchy to **** off towards the end, and Dawn goes back in the taxi for Tim. The same kind of feeling as when they go over the top at the end of Blackadder IV.

Gervais is a tit though, and I've found him pretty much unbearable in anything else I've ever seen him in.

Has to be the Office, 'Episodes' is very funny, 2nd series better than the first for me.

I watched The Office after all the hype about it and I never raised a smile once in the two episodes I watched.

I think The Royle Family is just more in tune to my humour.

One of the funniest lines for me

Jim "Put yer coat on Barb"

Barbara "Ooooo you taking me the pub with u?"

Jim "No, i'm turning the heatin off"

Little one liners and humour like that, just makes it better for me

Royle family for me. The office was clever, but never made me laugh and I can see why people like it ... but it didn't do it for me. The Royles did.

I don't really get all the Gervais hate - he's just playing a character most of the time, winding people up. I can kind of relate to that, I think he's great.

I thought The Office was excellent and will be held high in years to come.

The Royle Family isn't my kind of thing, I'll leave that to my mum and gran.
